Just got an SMS from o2 this morning to say that the new 3G iPhone is being released in the UK on july 11 in both 8gb and 16gb versions, with unlimited wireless data usage as before.
o2/Apple seem to be being pretty fair about the whole thing, offering a free upgrade to the new 8gb [...]
