Just read an interesting article on TechCrunch about the problems advertisers are experiencing with Facebook’s self-serve ad platform and increasing click fraud. Interesting, because the issue is being brought out into more mainstream attention.

Anyone who reads this blog will already know I think that farcebook ads suck ass, but this amused me today - apparently they have now implemented a blanket ban on diet ads in the quest to ‘maximise end-user experience’ or some .com - sounding bullshit.

Well kind of…have just noticed today that facebook seems to have put links below each ad on site pages to allow users to ‘vote’ on relevancy, decency and all manner of other toss.
Of course voting is a two way street, so there is also a button to report/snitch on ads you don’t like or don’t [...]
